Chestnut Hill is a community with its own independent newspaper covering the people, news, events and
happenings right here. A subscription is included with every membership!
over $1,000 in free items at nearly 70 local stores, restaurants, and businesses.
Members have access to exclusive events like lectures, concerts, bird watching, dinners with live music, and classes.
CHCA members also receive a DISCOUNT to all of our events including the Black & White Gala, Holiday House Tour,
Hoops Madness Basketball Tournament, and Great Houses Tour (held in partnership with the Chestnut Hill Conservancy.)
Families and friends fill the stands to cheer on their team during Hoops Madness! Hoops Madness offers kids and adults a chance to play half court, 3-on-3 games of basketball, and participate in a variety of
shooting contests: 3-point, foul-shooting, and half-court shooting competitions.
Dancing, drinks, and dressing up! Gala proceeds fund community events, neighborhood advocacy efforts, and volunteer projects that enhance our community.
The holiday season is a time to relive cherished traditions, and for Chestnut Hill, there is no better tradition than spending a day enjoying the Holiday House tour. Tour a variety of dramatic homes and find inspiration for your holiday celebrations, while experiencing the rich architectural heritage of Chestnut Hill.
CHCA Community Events
The Chestnut Hill Community Association produces Philadelphia's longest running free outdoor concert series. For more than 70 years, the Pastoroius Park Summer Concerts have been synonymous with
summer evenings in Chestnut Hill.
Movies Under the Stars brings people together to enjoy good times, a
good movie, some good food... all outdoors
under the night sky at Water Tower
The CHCA brings Santa to the neighborhood every year in the long-standing Chestnut Hill tradition, the Chestnut Hill Community Holiday Parade. Families and neighbors line Germantown Avenue to wave to marchers of sports teams, scouts, bands, and more!
The Circle of Trees Celebration brings the community together at the start of the holiday season. Friends and neighbors head to the Woodmere Art Museum for this free annual event and to enjoy hot chocolate, cider, cookies, music, goodie bags for the kids, and a visit from Santa!
The CHCA hosts an eclectic variety of free
community events throughout the year. Manyof these events are co-hosted or co-sponsored in conjunction with other Chestnut Hill institutions, businesses, or residents.

Active Stewardship and Advocacy
Recognizing the value of Chestnut Hill as a
National Historic District set within the sensitive natural Wissahickon Watershed, the CHCA founded committees to maintain standards and provide a process for review: Development Review, Land Use Planning and Zoning, and Streetscape.
