Help Shape the Future of Chestnut Hill
Together, with a shared history of service, Chestnut Hill Community Association and Chestnut Hill Local form the foundation of our community. As Chestnut Hill Community Association begins its 76th year creating activities that add to the energy, and uniqueness of our neighborhood – and Chestnut Hill Local steps into its 66th year, covering local news and information on the people, organizations, and issues facing our corner of Philadelphia --- we ask you to invest in the strength and sustainability of these two cornerstone organizations. Our goal for this year’s annual appeal is $175,000 -- raised with your help -- by February 1, 2024.
Your support is vital in keeping us strong and better together -- making it possible for both community-building organizations to maintain longstanding traditions, advocacy, and activities, while ensuring we receive the news on critical issues facing our neighborhood and spotlighting our successes.
This year your support made it possible to:
Keep our traditions alive including: the annual Circle of Trees --Holiday Parade -- Holiday House Tours --summer concerts in Pastorious Park and movie nights at Water Tower Recreation Center.
Connect us by featuring in depth stories on the people, businesses, artists, and other gems that make this neighborhood dynamic and lively.
Maintain Chestnut Hill’s reputation as the Garden District and one of the loveliest neighborhoods in the country with our Greenspace activities.
Uncover and report on pressing topics facing our community.
Advocate for quality-of-life issues, and as a Registered Community Organization (RCO) with the City of Philadelphia, organize the community development review process that includes Chestnut Hill’s other RCOs.
