Annual Meeting and Community Supper

Chestnut Hill Community Association's Annual Meeting and Community Supper, June 21

This year’s CHCA Annual Meeting and Community Supper was on June 21st from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Venetian Club. The meeting will included a delicious covered dish supper provided by the CHCA board of directors.

We honored two community members with special awards: Debra Roberts, Director of St. Martin in the Field's Community Supper program, received the Chestnut Hill Award for unusual and outstanding service that promoted or achieved understanding and cooperation among people of the community and Tracy Gardner, President of the Friends of Pastorius Park, received the Meritorious Service Award for services that have substantially improved the quality of life within the community.

Our special guest speaker, Cary Nicholas, Deputy State Director – Pennsylvania, The Nature Conservancy, spoke about Nature in Cities specifically focused on initiatives in Philadelphia. The Nature Conservancy has established a global cities program with the goal of changing the relationship between cities and nature. Learn how they are working with partners to use natural solutions for many of the challenges facing us here in Philadelphia and helping to create more livable communities where people and nature thrive together.

Attendees also heard the Annual
Summery Reports on the Chestnut Hill Community Association, the Chestnut Hill Local, and the Chestnut Hill Community Fund.
