Friday, July 4, 9 AM to 1 PM: Chestnut Hill July 4th Celebration, 92nd Anniversary. Schedule of Events: 9 AM: Decorated bikes, wagons, and float parade. Starts at Hartwell Lane and Devon Street and continues to Water Tower Recreation Center. Judges will award prizes in various categories. Also at 9 AM: Hartwell Lane and Devon Street -- July 4th salute and playing of national anthem. 10 AM: Water Tower Recreation Center ballfields -- free face painting, balloons, pony rides, and various kinds of races for both boys and girls in various age categories. Candy find for toddlers. Clowns, moon bounce slide, and carnival music atmosphere. 11:15 AM: Water Tower Recreation Center, front of building -- free lunch of hot dogs, juice, and ice cream cups. 12 Noon: Water Tower Recreation Center, side of building -- live magic show. 1 PM: Day's events conclude.
Saturday, July 5, 9 AM to 1 PM: Recycling at the Wyndmoor train station. Accepted materials include plastics #1 and #2, paper, and cardboard boxes. Proceeds benefit the Chestnut Hill Community Fund.

Food, drink, raffles, and music; proceeds to benefit the Chestnut Hill holiday tree lighting program. Tickets $20 per person, $5 for children 12 and under. Wednesday, July 30, 6:00 PM: 10th Annual Picnic in Pastorius Park honoring Police, Firefighters, and Postal Workers. Free to police, firefighters, postal workers, and their immediate family members and all children under 8 years of age. General community: $7.50 per person.
